  • What is the difference between rekeying and replacing a lock?

    Rekeying changes the internal pins of your existing lock so old keys no longer work, while replacing a lock installs an entirely new lock. Rekeying is often a more affordable option when the lock is in good condition. 

  • Should I rekey my locks after buying a new home?

    Absolutely. You never know how many copies of the old keys exist. Rekeying your locks ensures you're the only one with access. 

  • Can you make a new key if I've lost all my keys?

    Yes. We are able create a new key, even if you no longer have the original.  If you have a cell phone that takes pictures, it would be a good idea to take a picture of both sides of your key that clearly shows the cuts of your key.  With a clear picture of your key, we will be able to decode 

    your key and cut a new working key.

  • I am traveling and my house sitter is locked out of my home. Would you be able to assist the person in gaining entry to my home?

    Yes. We would require proof that you own the home and that you authorize us to allow the person access to your home. Call us for the necessary identification to handle this issue.

  • Do you program car key fobs and transponder keys?

    Yes. We do cut and program most standard keys, key fobs and transponder keys for many vehicles. We do not handle BMW, Mercedes, Subaru, or VW keys. Ask regarding other Makes/Models beyond 2020.

  • Can you unlock my car if my keys are inside?

    Yes. We have specialized tools that safely unlock most vehicles without causing damage.
